Taxi Map FAQ

How accurate are calculated taxi fares?

TaxiMap expects a tolerance of +/- 10%

There are many factors that contribute to the eventual taxi fare price provided to the customer. Fundamentally, TaxiMap calculates based on price per mile/kilometer so, whilst the route may vary, the price is usually within acceptable parameters.

Currently the route chosen between stops on a journey is entirely determined by Google Maps. This may not always be the route chosen by a driver and may be longer or shorter. There are a number of additional feature within TaxiMap - such as ZONES - which provide greater control over these variances.

With fine tuning, pricing provided over standard operational areas can be extremely accurate. All settings are entirely in the control of the taxi company.
